National Television Schedule Out: Shocking, but Panthers Barely Represented

Television The national television schedule came out today, and as usual, the Panthers will not be on very much.

As expected, the Panthers are not part of the NBC schedule, and their lone appearance on Versus comes Oct. 2 when they play the Blackhawks in Helsinki.

The Panthers are going to be on Hockey Night in Canada however, with The Billboard playing a starring role. Canada's favorite television program visits Sunrise on Jan. 23 along with the Maple Leafs.

Not shocking at all, when you don't make the playoffs for a decade, and don't appear to be improving your team, any network exec would think it's a ratings nightmare.

shocking is right, a team that is not playoff caliber and does not have a marquee name, why would the networks want the Panthers.

Alan Cohen doesn't care as long as the arena makes money, he just keeps the team at a level that he gets the money from the league.

I'm a season ticket holder, and I'm not sure even if I care much anymore!

TV? I am surprised they still allow them in the league

Something comes to mind about reaping and sewing, I dunno.

How can we compete with TV's awesome fall line-up featuring the following more interesting shows...

A reality show about Meter Maids (Reality TV),
Scrapbooking (HSN),
MLS soccer (Espn 2),
Kourtney & Khloe take Miami (E!),
Animal Cops Housten (Animal Channel),
The Weather (The Weather Channel),
Verminators (DISC),
The Fresh Prince re-runs,
How do they do it? (Science Channel- Tonight featuring "De-icing" and "Glossy magazines")...

Seriously - we can't compete with a show about how they de-ice planes and our entire sport is played on ice? Depressing.

LOL, TV Richards? I am surprised they still have a local TV station that wants them.

YORMARK HAS KILLED THE TEAM AND THE BAC I JUST GIVE UP MY TICKETS AFTER 12 YEARS AND GOT HEAT SEASON TICKETS WHO CARES IF THEY ARE NOT ON TV.

I DO . . . so f*&% you james!

Last season their second half wasn't to bad, wasn't it? They just missed the playoffs. So, let's hope for more this coming season...

A new high scoring star player is welcome however! ;-)
