HELSINKI -- The Panthers are all in for tonight, the start of the 2009-10 season.
Kickoff is at noon Miami Time so come on back in a bit for a little live chat. Not going to do much play by play mainly because tonight's game is on television.
If you can't find Versus on your dial (because DirecTV dumped it), go to the hockey channels and pick up the Chicago feed. Center Ice is free this week so you should be able to get the game somewhere.
(Someone is saying that Center Ice will not have the game, but if you have DirecTV, give it a shot anyway. Chicago's Comcast is broadcasting from here. But it makes since that it would be blacked out because of the Versus exclusive. Anyway, you can find it online and on radio 790-AM 790theticket.com)
As I mentioned before, the Panthers' are all in, meaning the four players who missed practice yesterday with the flu were back out there today and expecting to play. Sound from Pete DeBoer, Keith Ballard and Stephen Weiss is up now.
Rookie defenseman Dmitry Kulikov will make his NHL debut tonight, so that means two defensemen are sitting. One will be Jason Garrison (he did miss practice because of the flu today) and I don't know who the other is. A lot of speculation around Ville Koistinen, but since he's the only Finnish player on the team, he might be safe.

Center Ice is not carrying the Panthers game as Versus has exclusive

Getting ready to head to Hartwall Areena Helsinki. Hopefully Cats can improve lots from the Jokerit game.
