Caps in Town: Shawn Matthias Called Up ... More on Help for Haiti from The Panthers, The Herald, 790 The Ticket and WQAM 560

Bullets3 UPDATE: Nathan Horton is in the lineup tonight.

Don't know if Nathan Horton's "bumps and bruises" are going to keep him out of tonight's clash between the Panthers and Wizards, err, Capitals. But, Shawn Matthias has been called up from Rochester just in case.

Saw Nathan for a little bit after practice as he left just a few minutes before I did. That's worth noting because Nate usually likes to get out of here early on game days. Thinking he was getting some treatment. We'll see what happens.

-- Don't forget that the Panthers are helping collect non-perishable foods and clothing for those stricken by the earthquake in Haiti. You can bring stuff by tonight or Saturday before the games. They are also accepting donations.

Here are more links to local places you can donate stuff:

Also, our pals at 560-WQAM are holding a donation party on Thursday at the Pembroke Pines Hooters (corner of Pines Blvd. and University Dr., although I've never been there before). Here's the info from their Facebook page:

Please help us help Haiti. We need you to bring anything that you can to the Hooters on Pines Blvd & University Drive from 10am-7pm. Bring food, clothes, shoes, toiletries, first aid supplies, bottle water, ect. Everything will be shipped out to Haiti ASAP. Thanks for COWs, containers on wheels!

-- For those who care, there's a new Mini Stanley being unveiled tonight. Looks kind of like the old one. With a bigger head. Has a whole bobble head doll thing going. Whatever. Enjoy the skit.

-- Working on my notebook for tomorrow as we speak. Got some good stuff on Dennis Seidenberg as well as Dmitry Kulikov. Stay tuned. Will post here in a bit.
