Help for Haiti

Just got this email from the Panthers. Thought I would pass it along.

The Florida Panthers announced today that they will collect donations for victims of Tuesday’s earthquake in Haiti during the club’s next two home games against the Washington Capitals on Wednesday night and the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday, Jan. 16 at the BankAtlantic Center.

“This was a tragic and devastating event for the citizens of Haiti, as well as the numerous South Florida residents that have family members residing in the area,” said Florida Panthers President & COO Michael Yormark. “We encourage our fans to help support this worthy cause and help the victims who are suffering from this unfortunate tragedy.”
Fans are encouraged to bring monetary donations (check or cash), new or used clothing or non-perishable food items and drop them at the donation tables located inside the BankAtlantic Center, just outside Pantherland on the main plaza level.

A Panthers team representative will be on hand to collect donations during both home games. Fans not attending either game may drop their donation at the Panthers Executive Offices located on the suite level of the BankAtlantic Center between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m on weekdays. For more information please call Darren Perry at (954) 835-7715.

Thats great to hear, and I hope more organizations (not just hockey teams) follow suit. This takes verry little effort for the Panthers, but makes all the diffenence to the people in Haiti.

A big thank you to the Panthers Org.
