Nathan Horton worked out before practice with Mike Kitchen, don't know how long he will be out here. Also, Tomas Vokoun is here as well (to end any early speculation)....

A steal for the Panthers. Panthers will lose some offense with that trade, but they gain a 2nd round draft pick. I know the Panthers will probably call up Garrison, but Ellerby would be a better replacement since he can provide some offense.
Also, a good trade for the Penguins since most of the scoring has come from Crosby lately, they could use some more goals in net from anywhere.

According to TSN, Vokoun isn't "on the block," at least at the trade deadline, but if someone came with a mega deal Sexton would have to listen. So like I thought earlier, Vokoun will probably get moved at the draft, if at all.

It doesn't look like any thought was given to actually resigning Leopold. Too bad, because he contributed some offence from the blue line. It's better than letting him walk in the summer. This means that in effect, we got 2 3rd round picks for Boumeester, Calgary's & Pitts 2nd, which when you consider where they will probably be drafting, might as well be a 3rd. Not as good as the offer that Phil was rumored to have made this time last year.
Sigh.
