Hey kids. Back from a semi-working vacation and ready to jump back into some hockey.
First off, the sked.
The Panthers will open in Edmonton before visiting Calgary and Vancouver. Then it's the home opener October 16 versus the Lightning.
The door on the plane is about to close so more later. Lots of rumors swirling about. We'll get to those soon enough.

Welcome back, George! Can't wait to hear what's been buzzing!

What a tease, GR! Ha! Have a safe flight in the meantime.

Well we got rid of the ridiculous Canadian preseason and a European season opener... so why not schedule the western Canada road trip to open the year? Thanks NHL!

I'll be interested to see the potential movement leading up to the most important draft in Panther history(to this point). Welcome back, George.
Ya know, the more I look at this roster, and the potential lines, the more I just don't see where Olesz fits in. Possibly on the 3rd line(if you plan on making Frolik your 1st line LW), but for the money...and his inability to stay on the ice(seems to be a reoccuring problem for MANY Panther players)...it's hard to justify playing him anywhere other than your top two scoring lines, IMO. Problem is, he's not better than Booth or Frolik, and given his salary to production ratio, he has little or no value to other teams....he may have to be burried in the minors.

We better be able to win at home this year. We have a 6 game home stand in January, a 5 game home stand in February and a 7 game home stand in March.
If we start to string L's instead of W's together, it's gonna be another long season.

Bob McKenzie just reported that Horton to Bruins looks to be a done deal. Details to follow. I wonder what we are getting back? Would love one or two of Bergeron, Wideman and the 15th overall pick.

Looking forward to seeing the Panthers come to Phoenix in early December. I like the Panthers, but I'll be rooting for the Coyotes in that one!

Horton and Gregory Campbell for Dennis Wideman, 15th overall pick and another draft pick per McKenzie.

I am actually disappointed in this trade if McKenzie has it. We still don't have a true #1 center and just lost our best scorer (on averages, I know Weiss scored more last year).
Who in the heck is going to score for this team next year?!?!?!?!?
