Florida Panthers Notes: Line Changes, Vokoun Starts Again, Bill Torrey Night

Just a quick hitter as I sit down and write my notebook for tomorrow.

First, Tomas Vokoun -- as expected -- will be back in net tomorrow.

Second, Pete DeBoer has changed up the lines again after last night's sleepwalk in Sunrise. David Booth is back on the top line with Stephen Weiss and Michael Frolik.

The former line of Chris Higgins, Weiss and Frolik was a combined one goal with two assists. Weiss has the goal and an assist, Frolik assisted on the Weiss goal.

No wonder he wants to change things up.

Here's what we gots for tomorrow against the surprising Islanders:

Booth-Weiss-Frolik

Stillman-Santorelli-Dvorak

Higgins-Reasoner-Olesz

Reinprecht-Matthias-Bernier/Hordichuk

-- The Panthers are having a special ceremony to honor team founder Bill Torrey before tomorrow night's game. The team asks that everyone be in their seats by 7 p.m. for the banner raising ceremony.

"I never thought my name would be among the greats like Celine Dion,'' Torrey didn't say.

Haha, man... that last line was great.

don't understand the matthias demotion. he was about the only spark plug in the game last night. yes he was on the ice for a couple goals against but both times were off of scoring chances that he single handedly set up for himself. te "top" line needs to play like it, and that has yet to happen through 5 games. and the PP has got to get going. had two early PP's and got nothing out of them. could have changed to complextion of the entire game.

i will tell you guys something! what about tallon giving away grabner hahaha he has eyes for talent look how well he has done for the islanders already he has more points then weiss and frolik together what a joke and through away of a trade for ballard i hope grabner lights them up tommorow night!
this place is never going to change tallon go pick up a star at least bud i herd spezza is up for grabs of grab grabner back budah

Matthias was responsible for 2 of Dallas goals by not staying with his man.Terrible defensive plays and thats why he spent so much time in Rochester. He also missed an easy shot.BTW our wonder boy Markstrom is stinking up the AHL with a .891 save and 3.34 g/a.The team is 3-3 and loses when he plays. And Yormark cant wait to get rid of Vokoun and McCabe so he can pocket the 11 million he save.Watch they wont spend it.Mark my words!Grabner didnt hustle here and probably didnt want to be here like Bertuzzi,Horton, etc. The team was just overmatched last nite.

There is the rub, this season Tallon gets a pass, he was hired too late to have a complete impact on the draft having to rely on Sexton and Sexton's people.

Next year is the key to the rebuild, does Yormark allow him to spend the money, is he able to get assets for Vokoun and not have to wait too late like JM and Sexton did with Bouwmeester, and JM and Keenan did with Luongo.

This team does not have the talent to compete on talent alone, they have to outwork their opponents to have a chance to win.

We will see who wants to stay and who wants to go, lets see what kind of hustle we have tonight against an islander team that is 2 years ahead of us in their rebuild.
