Rochester: This Trade's For You ... Panthers at Washington, 7 p.m.

Nationaltreee WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Greetings from high above the Cap Center in downtown Chinatown where the Panthers and the Capitals are gearing up to do battle tonight.

The big news around here tonight was the lightning of the National Christmas tree down by the mall (Aventura? Westland?). It's a pretty tree. Lots of lights.

Anyway, we'll see what happens later tonight. The Caps are trying to avoid their first four-game losing streak of the season and the Panthers are attempting to win three straight.

Should be a fun one here in the Evergreen State.

-- The Panthers added some bodies to the Rochester roster today by making a deal with the Bruins.

Here's a release from the Panthers. More later.

Florida Panthers general manager Dale Tallon announced today that the club has acquired F Jeff LoVecchio (Providence – AHL) and F Jordan Knackstedt (Providence – AHL) from the Boston Bruins in exchange for D Sean Zimmerman (Rochester – AHL) and a conditional seventh round draft pick in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
