Your Florida Panthers/Pittsburgh Penguins Friday Afternoon Notebook

IMG_0554Good times at today's morning skate as a large number of media visited the Billboard.

Wonder what was going on?

(Did an unscientific poll inside the Penguins locker room. Of the four local English network channels in South Florida, only one Ch10wasn't represented. No, I'm not going to say who.)

Fun moment, talking about the Pens here, was when the team came out. Every player had a 'C' made up in tape on their right chest; well, one player had the Russian 'K.'

Then Sidney comes out -- you know, the Pens official captain -- and doesn't have a C on his jersey.

Nice show of support by the Penguins as it appears some have anonymously questioned his resolve of late.

Give me a break. Don't mess with concussions.

-- The Panthers locker room is packed, so much so, backup goalie Brian Foster's 'locker stall' is a folding IMG_0556chair in the middle of the locker room. His name plate sits on the ground.

He doesn't seem to mind. Good dude this Brian Foster guy.

By the way, Sean Bergenheim has the third goalie stall.

-- Bergenheim, Scottie Upshall, Jose Theodore and Jack Skille all practiced today and Kevin Dineen seemed to be excited talking about them possibility of them returning by next week.

Dineen said Theodore wouldn't dress tonight against Pittsburgh but could be back by Monday.

So there you are.
