The team will hold a silent auction during Sunday's game where fans can bid on their favorite player's jersey; after the game, there will be a ceremony on the ice in which each player autographs and hands over the jersey worn against the Islanders.
The auction benefits the Panther Foundation for pediatric cancer research.
“We've been doing good in them, but I like the red ones better,'' said Weiss, noting Florida has won the past three games in the third 'Sunday-only' jerseys and are 4-2-1 in them this season.
“They're alright. But they aren't the most intimidating things around. It is what it is. We wore them for a few years, now we're moving on.''






Weiss is being kind. Those threads looked like total $hit.

Any plans for new alternate sweaters in the works or will they wear the reds all the time?

Not a minute too soon. Those were the uglest jerseys. Really like their new reds.
