BOYES IS STAYING: Panthers Sign Leading Goal Scorer to Two-Year Deal

TWITTER: @GeorgeRichards

BOSTON -- The Panthers traded Mike Weaver on Tuesday afternoon but kept one of their top unrestricted free agents in the fold later in the day.

Brad Boyes, who came to the Panthers on a training camp try out, signed a two-year deal with the Panthers worth an average of $2.65 million.

Boyes, who leads the Panthers in goals and is second in points, said last Saturday after the loss in Columbus that he was hoping to be able to swing a deal and stay in South Florida.

Done and done.

More later.

Nice. Hopefully he can put up 20+ for the next couple seasons and he's great in S.O.'s.

Really good deal too. Nice work Tallon.
