Pregame: FSU at Pitt

Kickoff is just over two hours away, no. 11 Florida State is preparing to take on the Pittsburgh Panthers at Heinz Field in the season opener and the entire country will be watching tonight. There are more than a few storylines heading into tonight's game. From the debut of QB Jameis Winston to the new Seminole defense to how FSU looks overall, all eyes are on the Seminoles as of 8 PM.

Don't be surprised if the Seminoles ease into things on both sides of the ball tonight. With Winston taking his first snaps, James Wilder Jr. and Devonta Freeman will likely be called upon to carry the offense early on.

Defensively, don't expect to see all the bells and whistles in week one. New DC Jeremy Pruitt brings a very nuanced defensive system and FSU is still getting comfortable with it. FSU is likely to focus on shutting down the run early and forcing Pitt to throw.

It should be a great game, check back at halftime for an update and some instant analysis.

Update: A couple quick pregame notes, two freshmen will be starting. Jalen Ramsey will start at CB and Demarcus Walker will start at DE.

Announcers: Rece Davis, David Pollack, Jesse Palmer and Samantha Ponder (sideline)

Player to Watch: Devonta Freeman

Jimbo Fisher said Freeman has had one of the best camps of any Seminole, with a new quarterback and a potentially hostile crowd, look for FSU to try to go to Freeman (and James Wilder) early and often. Don't be surprised if Freeman ends the evening well over 100 yards.

Bold Prediction: FSU 28 Pittsburgh 14
