Going Polling: FSU Jumps to 6th in AP and Coaches Polls

I

Florida State is climbing up in the polls this week following their 63-0 decimation of Maryland. The 63 point margin of victory tied the record for the most lop-sided win over a ranked opponent in FBS history and sends Florida State into its bye week - and then to Clemson - with plenty of momentum.

FSU climbed two spots in the Coaches poll to sixth, jumping Louisville and Georgia. Alabama is still ranked first with Oregon following. Clemson is now tied with Ohio State in votes - both are ranked third - Stanford rounds out the top five.

Miami stays at 14th, Florida jumps two spots to 17th and Virginia Tech replaced Maryland at 25th.

Meanwhile in the Associated Press poll the Seminoles climb to sixth this week as well. The top five remains unchanged with 'Bama, Oregon, Clemson, Ohio State and Stanford sitting 1-5.

Miami hops up a spot in the AP poll to 13th, Florida jumps a spot to 17th and Virginia Tech debuts at 24th.
