Salvation Army holds sale in South Florida

Salvation_army If you spend $25 or more in South Florida Salvation Army Family stores on Aug. 7 and 8, you will get a $5 coupon to spend in September. Parents may buy backpacks, school uniforms and jeans for back-to-school clothing.

RE the 9790 Bird Rd location:

Stay away from this Salvation Army "Family Store" - it is a racket. Not only is it extremely overpriced, the employees on the floor pocket the money and the local SA manager gets a cut out of it to stay quiet. No large ($50+) bill is rung up there with a paper trail (and they'll fake that the CC machines are not working). Cash into their pockets, direct, whenever possible.

Don't ask questions either, or they'll threaten to call the police on you.

AVOID these thieves at all cost!
