GAINESVILLE -- Florida jumped to No.4 in The Associated Press college football poll on Tuesday. The Gators moved past Texas and Michigan.
Texas, which dropped from No.4 to No.7, struggled on Saturday against Arkansas State. But at least the Longhorns won. Michigan lost to Appalachian State. Too bad Appy State isn't eligible for the College Football Bowl Subdivision (formerly Division I-A). They'd be ranked ahead of Tennessee, which lost to a Pac-10 school but is somehow still ranked.
Michigan dropped out of the poll, marking the worst fall from grace since the poll's inception. Speaking of falls, anyone seen FSU lately? Miami?
