BATON ROUGE -- Florida running back Kestahn Moore only had three carries in the Gators’ loss to Auburn. He had two carries on the Gators first scoring drive and his 15-yard run to the LSU 19 might have been the most impressive run of his career. He broke one tackle at the line of scrimmage and then carried two LSU defenders into field goal range. Joey Ijjas kicked a 31-yard field goal to give Florida a 3-0 lead.
Florida had 24 rushing yards on its first drive. LSU entered the game averaging 39 rushing yards per game. Moore had six carries by the end of the first quarter for 33 yards and Florida had 46 total rushing yards.
-Joe Haden’s interception to end LSU first offensive drive was the true freshman’s first interception of his career. Haden returned the play 10 yards.
-Florida freshman Moses Jenkins (Lauderdale Lakes Boyd Anderson) saw the first action of his career with 8:06 left in the first quarter.
-Florida senior strong safety Tony Joiner sat out of the Gators' first defensive series.
