PREGAME: Three thumbs up for Lexington...Florida, Kentucky control their own destiny

LEXINGTON, Ky. -- In a surprise turn of events, I'm falling in love with Lexington, Ky. This is a great town. Got to admit, when I first glanced at Florida's away schedule I frowned at the Kentucky trip. I was wrong. The people are SUPER nice, the nightlife is excellent, the town seems to be a Norman Rockwell painting come to life and they hand out 50-cent pieces at the concession stands.

Kentucky also had a moment of silence for Florida football player Michael Guilford in between God Bless and the National Anthem. Guilford passed away last Friday during a motorcycle accident.

I've asked around about this whole 50-cent thing and no one can give me an explanation. Theories anyone...

In related news, Alabama is having its way with Tennessee right now and it looks like Vandy is going to beat South Carolina. If all stays the same, Florida and Kentucky should know before kickoff that the winner of today's game will be in first place in the SEC East.
