GAINESVILLE -- And Florida thought it was going to be a quite day. That all changed quickly this morning when defensive back Ramon Buchanan of Melbourne Palm Bay and Ricky Barnum, a Lakeland Lake Gibson offensive lineman, spurned the Gators for other top-level teams.
Buchanan chose Miami and Barnum sided with Michigan, which just beat Florida in the Capital One Bowl. Florida considered Buchanan's commitment a major victory over Miami. While on his recruiting visit, Buchanan could be seen on ESPN's College Basketball GameDay offering cameras a Tim Tebow-aided Gators chomp.
While losing Buchanan to an instate rival hurts the Gators, the loss of Barnum might sting a little more. Barnum was considered one of the state's best centers and Florida is thin at that position. Sam Robey of Louisville, Ky., is the Gators' only other commitment at the center position.

What the hell happen ?? But i guess that the UF's coaches saw it coming. Pretty sure we are covered and still have a pretty decent class. These were the two kids that had official visits the weekend before signing day, so it couldn't be much of a surprise.

I can't believe we lost those players? Miami seems to be cleaning house today, hopefully we will stay ranked higher but I doubt it.
