Miami Booker T. Washington duo strongly considering the Gators

GAINESVILLE -- Gator Clause was busy all day putting together a list of South Florida football players who will be attending Friday Night Lights on July 24.

One of the most memorable conversations of the day was with Miami Booker T. Washington receiver Quinton Dunbar (6-3, 170), who indicated that he and teammate Lyden Trail (defensive end, 6-7, 200 pounds) are strongly considering the Gators. Dunbar and Trail are also considering Miami and Florida State.

GATOR CLAUSE: "What are you and Lyden hoping to get out of Friday Night Lights?"
QUINTON DUNBAR: "We just want to go up there and get better because Florida might be our next school," Dunbar said. "We just want to get a head start and learn some drills and have a great time."

And the Gators' march into Miami-Dade continues...

Hialeah defensive end Corey Lemonier is another top senior attending Friday Night Lights. Lemonier and teammate Calvin Smith have both been offered scholarships by the Gators' coaching staff, according to Hialeah coach Mark Berman.

It's Berman's first trip to Friday Night Lights but the coach seemed aware on Thursday that one of the goals of the Gators' coaching staff next week might be to try and secure commitments from his top players. Lemonier (6-4, 223 pounds) is one of Miami-Dade's top prospects for the class of 2010 and Smith is a 6-5, 270-pound offensive lineman.

"They're not going to commit," Berman said. "They're going to take all five of their visits. They'll narrow down the schools that they're going to visit by two-a-days."

According to their coaches, here are some other South Florida football players who have been invited to attend Friday Night Lights: Jakhari Gore (Miami Columbus, senior running back; Urban Meyer spoke with Gore last week about attending the camp.), Anthony Rabasa (Miami Columbus, junior defensive end, Will not participate in camp due to surgery in the spring), Cedric Walker (Miami Gulliver Prep, junior cornerback), Demar Dorsey (Lauderdale Lakes Boyd Anderson, senior defensive back; Already a UF commitment.), Rubin Carter Jr. (Miami Jackson, junior lineman), Taz Robinson (Miami Jackson, junior running back), Jeremy Cash (Plantation, junior safety; Coach Steve Davis says Cash (6-0, 190 pounds) will be a top prospect next season; Already visited Miami and Ohio State this summer.), Conard Johnson (Fort Lauderdale Dillard, junior linebacker), Desmond Bozeman (Fort Lauderdale Dillard, senior linebacker; A player to keep an eye on.), Stephen Morris (Miami Monsignor Pace, senior quarterback), Jonathan Ragoo (Miami Monsignor Pace, senior lineman), DeAndre Johnson (Miami Monsignor Pace, senior running back), Normando Harris (Miami Monsignor Pace, senior cornerback), Jabari Gorman (Miami Monsignor Pace, junior safety; UF assistant Vance Bedford hopes to offer Gorman soon, according to Pace coach Alvin Slaughter).

Gator Clause will be adding names to the list as Friday Night Lights approaches.

Good job with that list, jo.

here goes the dimwit with the whole racist nonsense. Quit yer whimpering U dumb cane honk.

For fans that always complain about repeating stuff, U sure do repeat alot.

We have the best coach in the country. U have a laughing joke in a CLUELESS sideline coach

We play in the premier conference. U play in the middle of the pack ACC

We have won two of the last three toughest conference championship games. U haven't as much as SNIFFED the very average ACC game.

We are LOADED. The UAA took in 66 million from football alone last year and gave the University 6 mil instead of the usual 3 mil. Hate on that. U ARE BROKE

The SEC dominates in BCS games. U just flat out suk in BCS games (2-11)

There is no comparison. We are champions. U are has-beens that kind of hang around the ACC.
