HOOVER, Ala. -- Florida Gators cornerback Janoris Jenkins will wear the number one on his jersey this season, according to the University of Florida's sports information department.
Jenkins, who will be a sophomore this season, had a breakout season in 2008, starting 12 games and earning first-team freshman All America honors from College Football News. As a freshman, Jenkins had 39 tackles, three interceptions, 11 pass deflections and one forced fumble.
Florida all-purpose star Percy Harvin wore the Gators' No.1 jersey in 2008.
Other new jersey numbers:
No.4, freshman receiver Andre Debose; No.8, freshman running back Mike Gillislee; No.67, freshman offensive lineman Xavier Nixon; No.43, freshman linebacker Jelani Jenkins, No.16, freshman quarterback Jordan Reed; No.93, freshman defensive end Kedric Johnson; No.24, freshman safety Josh Evans; No.77, freshman offensive lineman Jon Halapio and No.64, freshman offensive lineman Kyle Koehne.

Pure class. Just like Urban. I mean that man turned a troubled young person like Percy Harvin and turned him into a teammate hitting, pot smoking, entourage sporting, steroid taking, migraine having (right) superstar. Now he'll do the same for Jenkins....

You having fun? Pretty sad state when this is what you have to do to try to engage in "discourse" with Florida fans regarding football.
Didn't you guys used to b the U?
Now more like the Ewe.
Miami is a small team,with a small fan base playing in too large a stadium.
Miami is closer to 1974 than it is to 2001.

Good for you that three of those were in your own stadium. Otherwise woul've been more like '86 Penn State, '92 Alabama, '02 Ohio State.
I'm glad you're so attached to your (ancient) history. Because the Ewe doesn't have much of a future.
I almost feel bad for you, because you know that's the truth.
U = Ewe

This is how you should treat troubled players before it spoils your program!
