HOOVER, Ala. -- It's here, finally. The Southeastern Conference Media Days begin at 1:30 today and we'll be updating this blog regularly with information from the event. If you want even faster updates, just follow Gator Clause on Twitter (http://twitter.com/GatorClause).
The SEC informed me on Tuesday that it credentialed nearly 1,000 media types for this thing, so it's going to be crowded. Asking questions will be an art for the next three days. You've got to word your question perfectly. Anyway, here's a link to five questions The Miami Herald will be asking today. A schedule of the days events is also listed. SEC commissioner Mike Slive speaks to reporters at 1:30 a.m. Arkansas coach Bobby Petrino speaks at 2:10 p.m.
--So, here's an anecdotal story just to help you guys understand the tenor of this city right now. I flipped on the radio yesterday when I arrived in Birmingham and here's the first thing Paul Finebaum (local radio guy) said, "Urban Meyer couldn't look Nick Saban in the eyes."
