Attention Miami Gators ... It's time to party!

GAINESVILLE -- Time for some free advertising for my friends over at the Gator Club of Miami.

Calling all Miami Gators! It's time to kick off the 2009 football season in style with an exciting Gators get together at Shula's Steak 2 in Miami Lakes. The party is from 1-5 p.m. on Aug.22. There will be a raffle of which the proceeds will benefit the Gator Club of Miami's scholarship endowment fund!

If you haven't joined the Gator Club of Miami, I'm assuming this is an excellent opportunity. A side note: I've heard some of the members of the Gator Club of Miami have a really cool party bus. You could be on that party bus if you play your cards right and go to Shula's Steak 2 in Miami Lakes from 1-5 p.m. on Aug. 22. It's family friendly! Wear your orange and blue!

Also, don't forget about the South Florida Gators outing on Sunday. The Gator Club of Miami and the Broward County Gator Club are teaming up for a trip to Land Shark Stadium for the Marlins vs. the Rockies. Not a meaningless game, folks. The Rockies lead in the race for the National League wild card but the Marlins are currently only three games back. the Email Christina@MiamiGators.com for more information.

The Broward County Gator Club's kickoff party was tonight in Weston at Carolina Ale House. If you send me pictures from the party, I might post them on the blog.

I'm not going to sit here and monitor the blog. 1. That's ridiculous. I'm not going to waste two seconds of my day worrying about some chump Internet clown. 2. I'm not in the business of limiting someone's freedom of speech just because the majority disagrees.

Thanks Jo! It's only fair that you stay out of it since your #2 blogger "14and0" is the cause of all this. He is responsible for at least 90% of the garbage on the UM threads.

No one is asking anyone to stop blogging on any site, but the garbage and hate that he has for UM is beyond rational. UF dropped UM how many years ago?

The last time we heard from a FSU fan on a regular basis was probably in November of last year. Now they will start posting the normal banter in a couple of weeks, and then it will die soon after the game is finished until this time next year. But our favorite UF fan "14" goes 24/7 7 days a week.

Like I said before, if he doesn't write it, you will not have to read it!

Not sure if they went to college but I'm assuming it is a Semihole fan! We keep geeting the same crap on the other side of the page.

If it's a true U fan then I would hope their not above age 12.

This year it seems like everyone is picking the Gators to run the table, it reminds me of the 2001 2002 Canes and the 2004 2005 USC teams.

It is so hard to win it twice in a row but I do think Florida has the firepower to do it, what's your opionion?

FYI - If it wasn't for the ref from Ohio the Canes would have done it!

u hurricane fans are pathetic, we have a better recieving core than u all. attention hurricane fans: your leading reciever runs a 4.6 and had a total of 332 yards for a season. last time i checked that wasnt good. the glory days are over for u all and u guys refuse to see it and its sad.
