Florida Gators coach Urban Meyer displeased with Monday's practice

GAINESVILLE -- Florida coach Urban Meyer said on Monday that the Gators will hold their first scrimmage of the preseason next Monday, which will be the Gators' ninth day of practice. Don't forget, this Sunday is fan day.

Not much to report from Monday's media session with Meyer. That Gators practiced for about an extra hour and Meyer seemed displeased with the day's execution.

"I was real disappointed," Meyer said. "I thought we'd be better today but the heat and the shoulder pads just kind of threw us off. So, we've got to come out tomorrow -- every practice, so we're one down now."

INJURY UPDATE
As expected, junior safety Ahmad Black practiced on Monday. He sat out the first two days of practice with a back injury...Redshirt junior running back Emmanuel Moody (ankle), senior receiver Carl Moore (back) and redshirt freshman cornerback Jeremy Brown (back) did not practice...Junior defensive end Justin Trattou sprained his left foot, according to Meyer...Redshirt senior receiver Joey Sorrentino is among the 105 players practicing but redshirt sophomore Steven Wilks is not.
