Janoris Jenkins to nickelback could lead to playing time for cornerback Moses Jenkins

GAINESVILLE -- Here's a link to my news brief in Monday's paper concerning safety Ahmad Black's return to practice. LINK!

Now, here's the supplement to that news brief because there are a few aspects to the story that are important but could not fit into the paper.

UF coach Urban Meyer indicated on Friday that sophomore cornerback Janoris Jenkins could be used as a nickelback this season. That would free sophomore Will Hill to focus on safety. Meyer also said on Friday that cornerbacks Moses Jenkins (Lauderdale Lakes Boyd Anderson), a junior, and Markihe Anderson, a redshirt senior, are competing for playing time, presumably, for when Janoris Jenkins slides inside to play nickelback.

"Will Hill was the guy who played the nickel last year but the negative of having Will Hill play the nickel is he doesn't have the man-to-man capabilities," Meyer said. "Obviouisly, with Janoris at the nickel, you can play man-to-man and we're a man-to-man team.
"But Hill can still be an excellent defender. That's a key component to watch the next 10 days."

We are Excuse U, cuz that what Miami do!

“because we’re young,” UM coach Randy Shannon said repeatedly in his slept.

Are we gonna hear this during every interview this season?

Two years ago, I could understand describing the Baby Canes as young, last year maybe it was believeable to the casual fan, but their f’n third year in the system???

COACH’EM OUT OF THEIR DIAPERS OR ADMIT THAT YOU CAN’T & HIT THE ROAD

Hey Adam S., here's something we can both agree on. The Dolphin's are going to be the most fun home game in the NFL this year, with Jimmy Buffet, Gloria, Marc & J Lo as Masters of Ceremonies!

The team is stacked, but the schedule should keep them humble! We should send flowers to the Jet's for "giving" us Chad! It should be fun!

Daddy, you're reading every word of it again! Please stop!

One month canefan. U are slacking off on your depth declarations. C'mon, we all know The U is stacked.

We’ve still got some depth issues so I’m not going to sit up here and say we’ve got the depth to do this and do those types of things,”
