BATON ROUGE, La. -- LSU cornerback Patrick Peterson of Pompano Beach Blanche Ely was the first LSU defender to knock UF quarterback Tim Tebow to the ground. Tebow got up and led an impressive drive to give UF an early 3-0 lead at Tiger Stadium.
In a play similar to one that left Tebow concussed against Kentucky, Peterson rushed Tebow on a delayed blitz with 9:09 left in the first quarter on Saturday. Tebow completed an eight-yard pass to tight end Aaron Hernandez. The back of Tebow's head slammed against the field after Peterson tackled UF's senior quarterback.
