Tim Tebow leads Florida Gators to impressive 10-3 halftime lead in Baton Rouge

BATON ROUGE, La. -- Florida Gators quarterback Tim Tebow led UF on an eight-play, 80-yard drive at the end of the first half which ended with a 24-yard touchdown pass to receiver Riley Cooper. UF leads LSU 10-3 at halftime.

Florida rushed for 114 yards on 23 carries in the first half. Jeff Demps had six carries for 41 yards followed by a strong performance by Emmanuel Moody, who rushed for 38 yards on five carries. Tebow rushed three times for 13 yards, including an impressive scramble.

UF tight end has two receptions for 18 yards and one carry for 16 yards.

--UF's defense has held LSU to three points and 118 total yards (62 rushing yards on 17 carries).

--UF cornerback Joe Haden's interception with 22 seconds left in the first half end gave UF 17 games in which it has had at least one interception. It's the longest current streak in the nation.

--Tebow made several excellent decisions in the first half, including an option pitch on the Gators' opening drive, which led to a 16-yard gain by Hernandez and a key first down.
