GAINESVILLE -- In this photo of Urban Meyer during the SEC championship game, check out the guy to Meyer's right (your left). That's Florida's team doctor, Pete Indelicato.
How often is a team doctor next to a head coach during a football game? Not often, unless something is wrong. It's probably just a coincidence, but maybe Meyer was a bit under the weather on Saturday during the SEC championship game and Indelicato was shadowing Meyer. UF's coach didn't sound well during Sunday evening's Sugar Bowl teleconference. His voice was hoarse and Meyer sounded a little weak, as if he wasn't feeling well. I asked Meyer about his health on Sunday mainly because it's my job to ask questions but also because I was genuinely concerned.
Meyer went to Shands Hospital at the University of Florida on early Sunday morning and was treated for dehydration, according to a UF team spokesman. Stress can cause dehydration but so can other things like the flu. Get some rest Urban and drink plenty of, you know, Gatorade.

RIP Gator Football
u had ur moment
YOU WONT MATTER FOR 10 years !
Urban should learn from Billy and leave to ND now !
the future is not a good one for UF
3 loss seasons will be followed by 4 loss seasons
which will be followed by Urban's firing
his golden boy is gone and he'll be exposed

Hey kids here's your cream puff non-conference scrimmages next year;
Miami of Ohio(NOT OF FLORIDA), 1-11,
USF, 7-5,
Appalachian ST., a division II team,
and a mandated game with FSU at 6-6.
That's a total of 3 road games all season.
Way to man-up and challenge yourself, GAYtors.
3-1 after those cream puffs,
then losses to ALABAMA, at TENN., LSU, MISS ST., GEORGIA, SOUTH CAROLINA,
and wins against KENTUCKY, VANDERBILT.
So 5-7 next year GAYtors, enjoy the ride on the irrelevance train AGAIN.

Hey, when you get your behind spanked you need to come up with an excuse at UF, right? Was that Tebow crying on the sidelines? What is he taking estrogen to off set the effects of steroids?
Posted by: Eric | December 07, 2009 at 09:18 AM
He was dehydrated from all the teams he and Tebow shed on Saturday night...
Meyer to ND u heard it here!

funny how Lane Kiffin, the one you all despise so much, was dead-on in his prediction... even HE didn't know how right he would be. CLK didn't suffer from "dehydration" after he narrowly lost to 'Bama. Can't wait to see Timmyless Florida in Knoxville next year!!

I am so happy the Gators lost. It takes the pressure off me some and all my sorry losses to crappy ACC teams. I just hope I get a contract extension now. Ill sign for anything, 25 dollars and a Dr. pepper.

UM 1987, 2001 NC's: Two of the greatest teams to ever play the game!
FSU 1998 NC: Wire to wire #1, one of the greatest teams to ever play the game!
UF 2009 SEC CG: The SINGLE GREATEST LOSS in state history! (It's not even close!)
Congrat's UF, you finally made the "Greatest" list!

Stop mincing words Jo, Meyer almost died on Saturday!
He probably watched Kiffin on Gameday take a "steamer" right in the middle of UF's FIRST EVER UNDEFEATED SEASON!
The game was the single greatest loss in state history!

Sarasota, since your so big on UMs " history " did you feel then that it was the biggest loss in "State" history when Bama pounded the Canes in 1993 or does losing big games only matter when it's The Gators.
Posted by: TexasGator | December 07, 2009 at 03:44 PM
hey Canes fans, have fun in the Champs bowl...against who? Wisconsin... great game. no wonder they win a lot of bowl games because they always play in horrible bowls against horrible teams...hey ROGPERU, so if 3 loses turns into 4 loses and so on, that means Miami is going in that direction too great 9-3 season retards. By the way, go look at rankings for signing classes...Florida #5 so far and going up. UM #13 with 16 three star recruits. Ask FIU where 3 star recruits gets you. thata boy shannon way to recruit. hahaha

glad to see your back sarasota. i think the last game in the OB should make the "greatest list" as well. i was in the stadium...50-0 to UVA, ouch. last home game ever in one of the greatest stadiums ever, ouch. that's crapping the bed. it happens to every team. some just take more pleasure out of others defeats, such as yourself.
Posted by: dan | December 07, 2009 at 05:07 PM
i wasnt the head coach against UVA. its all cokers fault. it was whipples fault this year. i throw every coordinator under the bus. i want an extension. ill take anything and since dah U has no money, ill take some free churros, and some tropichops and a picture of me with manny navarro. i really like that manny kid. he throws such softball questions and he has the best chinstrap i have ever seen. Check out his herald photo.

Dr. Pete is always on the sidelines. It was just a coincidence, Jo.
These canes fans are so sad. The amount of joy they get over watching UF lose shows how envious they have been of our success. I don't remember ever caring the last time Miami lost a Championship game...actually, when was the last time they were in one? Seems like ages ago.

Gayturds in BIG games? That's a SELDOM, if ever, event. But typical gayturd omitting information, you forgot to mention the national title game of 89--[]_[] vs bama. Miami won that. Wah wah wah... Gayturds ARE IRRELEVANT. Cincy will be lose #2. Sugar Bowl? Gayturds are 2-4(?) at the Sugar Bowl. Last time turds played there was against []_[] and well, you know how that went. ANOTHER LOSE FOR TURDS. Wah wah wah... Don't forget to watch the U documentary this Saturday night!! 9pm after the Heisman Trophy. ESPN is going out with GLORY! []_[]!!!!!

canes08 you have some serious emotional issues dude, i suggest you call the psych department. there is something very wrong with your sense of self satisfaction about something you had no control over. you are a clown with no life that spends time ON A GATOR BLOG. LOSER. not to mention that you probably didn't even go to UM.
the U documentary is about what a thug program miami was and the university asked former players and coaches not to participate.
Posted by: dan | December 07, 2009 at 07:02 PM
Yes Sarasota.. Miami has won 5 NC. I give credit where it's do. But if u wanna talk about laying a terd in big games, how bout the 4 NC games they lost.... Nobody wins em all. UF has been to 4 NC and won 3. Can't complain about that. Canes 5-4 in NC games. Give credit for gettin their, but sounds like a couple of terds were laid there also. I'll concede the Canes dont have the off field issues anymore (like the Gators have had lately). But Im betting the Gators will not have 8 seasons of mediocrity,...as UM has had after losing to Ohio State.
Posted by: TexasGator | December 07, 2009 at 07:19 PM
I havent had a mediocre year as a head coach.
Look those past miami coaches have had it easy not having to play in a conference championship game and playing home national title games.
I am such a good coach that not even the canes fans pay attention to my team. They are all over urban meyers tea bags.
Posted by: randy Shannon | December 07, 2009 at 08:29 PM
I am so glad UM has won 5 championships. Totally takes the pressure off me to win any. Yay!

The last championship won in Miami was by the Gators against OU. Canes were watching it on TV eating Fritos with their chunky Haitian hookers.

I love the UM fans ripping on the UF schedule...lets take a look at UM this year. UCF, USF, FAMU - same softballs that we play year in year out. Oklahoma had a down year, just like FSU did, cant fault them for that. Throw in there Duke and UVA.....lets be honest, all of the big 3 FLA schools schedule BS games. Im just sick of UF catching all the flack for it. and ya, Bama beat the crap out of us, but I would rather lose that game than lose to Clemson, UNC, and gettin spanked by VTech. for sure....THE U IS BACK! (if getting to Dec 29 bowl games = being back)

I think you need to check the UM blog, you will eat your words after seeing that there are more gayturds envious of the Canes, the funny thing is, you said it yourself, UF has been the successful one lately and yet Gayturds have all the time in the world to go to a UM site just to let their jealousy be heard!
5 NC's to 3
I understand!

Tidbits, are you really making that arguement about strength of schedule???
HaHa, The gayturds played 1 ranked team all year, 8 home games, and played non-conference cupcake teams!
When USF beats you next yr, what then will you say???
"oh but USF is an up and coming big east team, they're good"
but when you don't play em' and UM does, all of a sudden they're a no worthy opponent, you gotta be the dumbest U of Felon fan out there, no question!
And dude for the record, vatech gave more fits to bama, than you ever did this year! way to rip a team than actually played bama better than your savior tebow and the U of felons.
Posted by: 2bits??? more like tidbits of brain inside your head, dumb UF fan! | December 08, 2009 at 01:02 AM
we played 2 ranked teams: Bama and LSU, and Miami played 2 ranked teams Gtech and Vtech. to be honest, im a very realistic UF fan. i know we were lucky to get to Bama unbeaten. i didnt think we would lay an egg the way we did, but thats how it went down. you seem pretty damn cocky for a UM fan when they havent done crap in almost a decade. ive been hearing all year that the U is back. tell me exactly how they are back? what have they done to claim that? when have they made the ACC title game? its been 5 years since you played in a BCS game! anyways, about the schedule, all I was saying is that all 3 FLA schools play cupcakes. you sound very bitter, but you shouldn't be. You only have to drive a few hours to see the U play in the Champs Sports Bowl. Be happy, after the game, you have 2 full days to get home and rest up for New Year's, after all the new year brings hope for Randy and the boys. Maybe....just maybe....you can make it to the ACC title game.
Posted by: 2bits | December 08, 2009 at 01:24 AM
1 ranked team you fool, SECCG is a post-season win, get your facts straight, we only count 12 games, not 13 games!
Now me a cocky canes fan??? of course you will view me that way, you're a gayturd, you view me that way or however it is you want to, and i will view you as an ignorant weiner gayturd fan! it's simple it's just the way it is, I never said the U was back, but they are definitely on a right track, what do you think will happen to your team when your savior is gone???
I mean you're a gayturd fan but you can still be realistic, can't you???
Every program will have a downfall, and you're team ain't immune to it, you better believe that aslong as the Canes compete in recruiting the state of Florida, we'll always be there to annoy the hell out of the rest of the big time programs, especially FSWho and U of Felons!
Now cupcakes non-conference games???? seriously, take a closer look to who you've played this year versus to whom we played, nuff said!
Now when you lose to Cincy, what else will you say about Miami, i think you better start paying attention to your own team from now on because from what i'm seeing, it doesn't look like it's gonna get any better!
Get ready for some more kleenex action and dehydration bs drama coming to the turd country!!!!!

BTW, tidbit, send the SEC refs a thank you card, because you should've had 2 loses, Arkansas definitely whooped your ass on that game!
Next year, they will destroy you like you don't matter in the SEC-ond rate conference!

Your boy Lame kiffin will steamroll your ass next yr, vault it!
He's laughing at the UF program, he's laughing at Urban's bs dehydration, he's laughing at tebow needing kleenex on national tv, he's laughing that by next yr the UFags will be the laughing stock of the SEC-ond rate conference!

Watching UF get blown out was great. That's what you get when you play a cream puff schedule...you think you are good..but you have never been tested...then you get tested and you lay down and get blown out!
Your run is over...make way for the true champs of the state of Florida...The "U"!
Posted by: CANE GRAD 93 | December 08, 2009 at 01:38 PM
Sorry for the delayed response Texas, but the 'canes '92 loss to Alabama does not even compare. As you say all losses are humbling experiences, but when the claim to "greatest state team of all time" is on the line, you're gonna win that honor everytime. By the time we lost to 'bama, we already had 4 national titles.
For those keeping score at home, UM's loss to Penn St. in the Fiesta bowl is by far UM's worst ever defeat. But thanks for asking!
Go 'canes!
