Junior cornerback Jeremy Brown, who is expected to compete for a starting role this season, has been held out of practice this week with a knee injury, a source close to the team told alligatorSports Wednesday.
Brown is expected to miss up to three weeks after injuring his knee in practice last week. A UF spokesperson declined comment until coach Will Muschamp can address the media. Muschamp said recently he is the only team source for injury-related news.
"It's not the NFL. We don't have to disclose anything," he said.
Muschamp's next scheduled media session is set for Saturday.

Well, at least he'll be back by the 2nd week of the season, sounds like, and still have a "tune-up" game before week 3 and the start of our SEC-schedule against Tennessee. We can't afford injuries along either line. Hope this is as much precautional care to make sure he's fully healed rather than a nagging injury, as knees sometime are. Maybe get a better idea with Coach's official announcement.

Young corners will have to step up which is tough to do in this league. The pass rush will have to be that much better.
Nice to see the Cane Trolls finally leaving us alone here.

Agree we should be fine until the 3rd week when the real games start. The young corners will get more experience which is not a bad thing.
Also agree Matt is slacking, the season opener is just days away, bring on more info!

Matt:
Glad you finally got going on the Clause, there was a long period of inactivity which led to my eventual abandonment of the site. However, I think you'll see with the season approaching, as much information as frequently possible, no matter how irrelevent or miniscule it might be, will bring the Gators back.
Adding to this is the North Korea-esque media control Muschamp is utilizing. Even Andy Staples at SI wrote a piece about it a few days ago. We're all starving for info, so help us out.
Re: J Brown, the 3 weeks sort of betrays a ligament sprain, which can heal pretty quickly if dealt with properly. Hopefully, he'll be back and gettnig reps during the UAB game, a typically tense affair where the record books are thrown out.
Anyway, belated welcome and KEEP UPDATING!!
SidCane:
But Miami coaches will be obligated to disclose everything they know for the next half year, won't they?

Matt are you in Gainesville covering the Gators or in Miami ?

You guys were right, I was slacking. Fact is, the stranglehold Muschamp has on the program is downright silly. When we actually get availability, there is hardly any information to report. But fear not, the season is approaching, and I plan on updating at least four times a week — if not daily.
Let me know if there's anything specific you guys want to see.
