The 411: The latest in UF recruiting

To recap...

DaVonte Lambert -- a 6-foot-3, 280-pound defensive end -- committed to Tennessee via Twitter on Tuesday morning.

The JUCO-prospect (Georgia Military College) chose UT over finalists Florida and Auburn, with UF believing it had a serious shot at landing the three-star prospect.

While the Gators couldn’t complete a 24-hour grand slam (see: Monday’s South Florida trifecta), UF is obviously thrilled with recent events after a relatively slow summer.

After last night, Florida jumped from No. 23 to No. 10 in Rivals’ 2014 team recruiting rankings.
