Muschamp lampoons (select) media

Presented without comment... for now.

I've removed the video because it was set to auto-play. Here's the transcript of Florida coach Will Muschamp's postgame rant...

"I am gonna address something. Uh, y'all know, we had four players that were suspended for today. And we had one player, that you know, very inaccurate information in The Gainesville Sun, the Palm Beach Post and GatorsCountry.

That was very irresponsible journalism, okay?

You guys can write whatever you want to say about me. You can say I’m a bad football coach. You can say I’m a bad dad, I’m a bad husband, I’m a bad person. You really can say anything you want to say. That’s your opinion. You can talk about our offense, our defense, our special teams. You can talk about our coaching staff, you can talk about our administration. That’s your opinion. And you’re entitled to that, and that’s fair. But when you take a shot at a kid and it’s inaccurate, and it’s written inaccurately: I got a problem. So I can be accused of a lot of things, of being overprotective of our players for accurate information.

I am really pissed off, and it’s wrong.

And I dealt with it last night with a parent, and I had to deal with it this morning with another parent. All right, because it was inaccurate, and it was wrong, and it was totally irresponsible. Again, your opinion is fine. Take shots at me all day. Jeremy [Foley] pays me enough.

I’ll take [shots] all day. All right?

But to take a shot at a freshman that’s done everything we’ve asked him to do since he’s been here. He is a great young man. He should’ve played today if we’d have gotten into some situations to play him. He’s done everything we’ve asked him to do. He’s a great teammate. He’s great in that locker room. And to take that shot is wrong.

It’s damn wrong.

And I can’t tell you, our trust is done. I can assure you that. And you know exactly who I’m talking to. I don’t know where the Gator Country guys are,  I’m going to tell you right now, we’re done. And that was completely wrong. You need to apologize to his parents, and you need to apologize to that kid. Because you won’t put your name behind something? Why don’t you tell me who your source was? That’s what I'd like to know. Who was your source? Church mice in here.

You know, if you wanna write something, stand up and stand behind it. That’s what I’m going to tell you. You took a shot at a kid and a family that’s done nothing wrong. And it's, it’s really bad. I’m going to meet with Mr. Foley to see if y’all are even going to be allowed to come back in here again. I’ll be honest with you it's a low blow, for me. To deal with our opening ball game at the University of Florida and I’m dealing with this. Bad journalism. But you know, 'sources said.'"

Muschump sounds like a republican congressman, complaining about the media for accurate reporting. Sounds like right wing blah, blah, blah. He should report himself for the $400 hand shakes.

I cant believe Toledo had 1, thats right 1, returning defensive starter and we still only scored 24 points. tell me now that pease doesnt have to go. That was a ridiculous effort on offense. We should have scored no less than 35 points. If we dont improve coming into Miami with their improved defense then we are in for a long season. 24 points is all we can muster?

swamp fever aka closet cane fan, to think the entire offense would be brought out against Toledo is absolutely absurd and goes to show you are definitely a cane fan, who knows nothing about college football. Then to say miami's defense has improved, is even funnier! The canes played one of the worst teams in college football. A 3 win team from last season with no offense and no defense, yet they were in the game till late in the game. Classic delusional cane fan! Don't worry, reality will set in real quickly!

Miami was up 20- 3 at halftime so I guess the delusional one is you. Do you ever get tired of being wrong, moron.

Last years miami d would hve given up 400 yards to this fau team. We played toledo with 1 returning defensive starter. None of those guys had experience nd they still held us to 24 lousy points. Put down the beer and watch the game sober gatordumb. I guess you are what others stereotype us for. Recruiting rankings are crap and our offense proves that. Even espn and other outlets are criticizing our offense. Its not just me gatordumb. Watch next weeks game without drinking and you will see pease is in over his head. Miamis d may not be the best but they are better than they were lst year and our offense hasnt improved. Its regressed. You sound like that loser jls that keeps pointing out the positive and holds hope for everything else.

If driskel fumbles next week , he needs to go along with pease. We should have run the ball much better against a first year first game d. The oline cant even open holes on toledo so wht do you think is gonna happen when they hit an experienced dline with games under their belts? We will be lucky to score 14.

Muschamp makes me laugh. Did you see that vein about to burst?

GatorAlum you are the lone sane voice amid a slew of delusional cane fans, from the genius who started it all saying "complaining about the media for accurate reporting", when Coach Mus was complaining about The INACCURATE reporting about Bostwick, to the one who keeps pretending to be a Gator and keeps calling for Pease to be fired. They will all be quiet for about a week after next Saturday when we run all over that "much improved" defense and ground that over rated offense.
The game is a big one because we are in it.
RoPo knows, the whole country knows, except in delusional Coral gables. They will find out soon.
Go Gators!

Al e gator is jlo. U heard it here first
