GAINESVILLE -- A day after a fourth verbal pledge decommitted and four-star tailback prospect Ray-Ray McCloud III spurned Florida's interest, an unheralded Jacksonville wideout finally delivered the Gators some positive recruiting news.
Three-star receiver/hybrid tight end Kalif Jackson (Duncan U. Fletcher) verbally committed to Florida on Tuesday, becoming the eighth member of UF's 2015 class.
According to Rivals, Jackson -- who projects as a fit in offensive coordinator Kurt Roper's 'B' position -- starred at Florida's Friday Night Lights showcase, quickly receiving an offer. Within days, the wiry 6-foot-4, 202-pounder committed, telling Rivals he is "solid to Florida."
