eco-ball: Miami's Only Gay Prom 'Goes Green'

Over 500 youth are expected to attend 13th Annual Pridelines Youth Prom Enriching the lives of GLBTQ Youth
Miami - On Saturday, June 14, 2008 fashion and fun will go green at the 13th Annual Pridelines GLBTQ (Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender and Questioning) Youth Prom at Florida International University's Wolfe University Center in North Miami. Over 500 youth ages 13-20 are expected to party at South Florida's only prom for GLBTQ youth and their allies in a safe, affirming environment.
The Pridelines Runway Goes Green prom will feature a special appearance by Dani Campbell from MTVs "A Shot of Love" with Tila Tequila. Youth are invited to use recyclable materials to create their prom outfits and enter the Glamorous Runway contest, where contestants will be voted for Fashionisto (Prom) King and Fashionista (Prom) Queen.
Pridelines has made sponsorship opportunities available for business and organizations to help cover the costs of prom and provide low-income youth the opportunity to attend. Proceeds from the prom will benefit Pridelines' services, which include weekly activities, monthly special events, workshops and training opportunities for GLBTQ youth and their straight friends and allies, ages 13-20.
