Father and son have double wedding Sunday in California
This photo and news release were sent to me Monday from Damon Romine, entertainment media director for GLAAD:
Father-Son Double Wedding in Palm Springs
Charles Robbins, executive director of The Trevor Project, the nation’s suicide prevention helpline for gay youth, and Damon Romine, the entertainment media director of the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD), wed Sunday in Palm Springs in a unique double ceremony. The couple have been together nine years and were wed alongside Romine’s father, David Romine and his partner Larry Barrett, of Topeka, KS, who have been together for 16 years.Heroes and Star Trek actor George Takei and his new husband were among the two dozen family and friends who attended the weddings at the Viceroy Palm Springs.
This is believed to be the first double wedding ceremony in California shared by a father and son since marriage equality took effect in June. The couples were featured in Sunday’s New York Times.
Following the ceremony, the newlyweds — both pairs — were the guests of actor Leslie Jordan at his one-man show My Life on the Pink Carpet.

Did the mother/ex-wife attend?
