Authors accuse Amazon of removing books with gay, lesbian themes from sales rankings

From my friend David Poller’s blog (hat tip to Rex Wockner):

It looks like Amazon.com has started removing the sales rankings from many of the books on their site that were written on LGBT themes or by gay and lesbian authors. This would keep them from showing up on Amazon's own bestseller lists and some searches. And of course it would hurt sales of those books. The sales rankings can be found under "product details" on the product page for a book or movie or Barbie doll sold by Amazon.com. If they have not removed it, that is.
