Miami’s Judge David Young gets show on Sirius XM radio’s gay OutQ channel

Miami’s Judge David Young can be heard weekends on Sirius  XM Radio’s OutQ channel. David and I went to North Miami Beach Senior High School together back in the '70s and I wrote the first news story profiling David and his partner, Judge Scott Bernstein.

Here’s the news release:

SIRIUS XM Radio (NASDAQ: SIRI) today announced the launch of Justice with a Snap!, a limited-run weekend series hosted by syndicated television personality Judge David Young.  Justice with a Snap! will air on Saturdays at 12 noon ET exclusively on OutQ, the nation's only 24/7 radio channel for the LGBT community, on SIRIUS channel 109 and XM channel 98.

"My satellite radio show is where Perry Mason meets Ethel Merman, a place where I have the freedom to speak candidly on any issue, from the intellectual to the inane," said Judge David Young. "Justice with a Snap! will also give me a forum to speak directly to the lesbian and gay community on OutQ, the largest gay radio station out there, and help people to feel good about being gay in a society that often makes us feel alien."

Each week on Justice with a Snap!, Judge David Young will tap his unique combination of professional legal expertise and sharp sense of humor to address a wide range of topics affecting the LGBT community, including adoption, civil unions, same-sex marriage and job discrimination, along with his colorful take on the news of the day and interviews with celebrity and newsmaker guests.  Judge Young will also highlight affirming, inspirational stories of gays and lesbians maneuvering through the legal system.

Then in 2000, Judge Young was elected as a Circuit Court Judge in Miami-Dade and re-elected to the bench once more. Judge David Young stepped down from the bench in May of 2007 to host his Emmy Award®-nominated, syndicated TV series, Judge David Young.
