Christian Family Coalition Hosts 2009 Family, Faith & Freedom Luncheon & Reception!

On Saturday, June 27, the Christian Family Coalition hosted its 2009 Family , Faith and Freedom Luncheon and Reception at the home of Carlos & Michelle Pastor in Miami.  This year's keynote speaker was South Florida Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart, the Congressman discussed the importance of Christians being involved and how we can still make a difference in Washington by raising our voices.  In fact, it was the great public outcry that took place just last week in Washington where the phone lines were literally shut down in opposition to the Cap and Trade Bill, the single largest tax increase in American history, that made the vote so close!

The Congressman also discussed why it is important to stay in the fight for life, in fact, we must make sure that the President's new Health Care proposal does not try to include taxpayer funding of abortion!

"We would like to thank Michelle and Carlos Pastor for hosting this year's event and would also like to thank Congressman Diaz-Balart for his staunch defense of life and marriage" stated Anthony Verdugo, Founder and Executive Director, Christian Family Coalition.
