Gallery | Aqua Foundation for Women honor outgoing chair Alison Burgos with party at Halo

Aqua Foundation for Women honored chair Alison Burgos with a party and a glass plaque Thursday night at Halo Lounge in Miami Beach.

Burgos, whose company Pandora Events produces major parties and events for women, retired as chairwoman and has been succeeded by Miami financial advisor Laura Steckler.

About Aqua Foundation:

Aqua Foundation for Women founded in 2004, promotes the equality, strength, health and visibility of lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered (LBT) women in South Florida.  With proceeds from events including Aqua Girl, the Foundation provides grants to GLBTQ-focused non-profit organizations, college scholarships, and a mentoring program that matches successful women leaders with recipients of the Foundation's scholarships.
