The Trevor Project, the nation’s largest suicide prevention group for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender youth, got a boost in South Florida Sunday night with a fundraiser at Halo Lounge in Miami Beach.

Among the attendees: former Miami Heat star Tim Hardaway, whose foundation co-sponsored the event; Charles Robbins, executive director of The Trevor Project; Judge David Young; CBS 4 Chief Meteorologist David Bernard; Miami Beach Mayor Matti Herrera Bower; The Rev. Michael Diaz of Sunshine Cathedral; Halo’s Babak Movahedi; and Geo Bustamante of GaySoFla.com, a young man who struggled with suicide after coming out and who now works to help other young people.

The Trevor Project is an amazing organization and I'm grateful that I was able to be a part of the event last night!

Tim is a homophobic, this does not make since, couple years ago he bashed gay people and now he is loving them. Give me a break! It's probably a money scheme.
