George Maiko Coronado in ‘Miami Babylon’: Corporate types, older guys chasing young models scared away a cooler crowd

DALE-STINE-GEORGE-CORONADO-HIGH-REZ-BROWN-JACKET George Maiko Coronado of Give Me a Beat Productions, at right, is quoted in Gerald Posner’s new book, Miami Babylon:

George Coronado, owner of Give Me A Beat Productions, concentrated on gay venues when the straight, mainstream club scene became stale."I'm sorry if it hurts people's feelings," he told me ,"but the corporate types and the older guys chasing young models, it scared away a cooler crowd. Lots of the newest action is across the causeway, in still raw areas, and it's like the South Beach clubs of a decade ago."
