Gallery | Miami Beach Gay Pride committee meets on Saturday morning at Score nightclub on Lincoln Road

The Miami Beach Gay Pride committee met Saturday morning at Score on Lincoln Road to discuss the upcoming parade and festival April 18 on Ocean Drive.

For the first pride parade last year, the committee planned on 5,000 to attend. Twenty thousand showed up. This year, operations director Cindy Brown says the committee is preparing for 30,000 attendees.

This year’s parade will again feature legacy gay and lesbian couples who’ve been partnered for at least 20 years. Also, there will be events for gay youth.
