Delta Air Lines earns 100 percent rating from HRC

delta ATLANTA, Oct. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL) today announced it has been designated as one of Human Rights Campaign's (HRC) 2011 'Best Places to Work' for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) employee equality. For the second consecutive year, Delta earned a 100 percent rating in HRC's annual Corporate Equality Index.

The HRC's 2011 index rated 618 businesses, evaluating LGBT-related policies and practices including non-discrimination policies, transgender health benefits, domestic partner benefits, respectful marketing and support of the LGBT community. Delta's efforts in ensuring LGBT equality in each of the survey's main criterion earned the company the perfect 100 percent score and recognition as one of HRC's "Best Places to Work for LGBT Equality."
