From the Drama Queen, Miami Herald theater critic Christine Dolen:
Large-cast musicals are expensive to produce, and few South Florida theater companies are willing to take the risk in the midst of a recession. But the Caldwell Theatre Company has figured out a way to share some of the Great White Way's most beautiful, challenging material in its popular Broadway Concert Series, which continues this weekend with Stephen Sondheim and James Goldman's Follies. Clive Cholerton directs some of the region's best musical-theater talent, including Laura Hodos, Wayne LeGette, Melissa Minyard, Stephen G. Anthony, Meghan Colleen Moroney, Jeanne Bennett and Lourelene Snedeker, in the poignant show about the reunion of former follies stars. Follies performances are at 8 p.m. Friday-Saturday, 2 p.m. Saturday-Sunday. Tickets are $25 and $35 (students $10). The Caldwell is at 7901 N. Federal Hwy., Boca Raton.
