Lt. Dan Choi told me by phone tonight that the White House did invite him to Wednesday's presidential signing of the 'don't ask, don't tell' repeal.
Also, he will visit Sen. Harry Reid's office to pick up his West Point ring -- which he gave the Senate majority leader last summer. Reid promised to return the ring to Choi after 'don't ask, don't tell' was repealed. (Watch the video.)
Here are a few Tweets from Choi earlier this evening:

Reclaiming my West Point ring at 1p in the majority leader's office. I'm grateful for his leadership, service, and safe-keeping.

The commander in chief invited me to attend tomorrow's bill signing; I am honored to report for duty.

This is very moving! I'm glad Senator Reid is able to keep his promise.
