Boyfriends Pioneer Winter and Jared Sharon presented 42 A Stonewall Prospective Tuesday night at the Bass Museum of Art in Miami Beach. Dozens of friends and supporters came to the museum. So many were there, Winter and Sharon needed to add another show, which immediately followed the 8 p.m. performance.
From the program:
"As an artist growing up in a post-Stonewall society, I owe my freedom to my cohorts -- my artistic autonomy and social advocacy has developed largely from people who were there. It's not always strife. It is a passion to progress," writes Winter.
