Rolling Stone reports that Against Me! singer Tom Gabel of Florida will transition and begin living as Laura Jane Grace.
Grace will remain married to her wife Heather. "For me, the most terrifying thing about this was how she would accept the news," Gabel tells Rolling Stone. "But she's been super-amazing and understanding."

I think it's just plain wrong to refer to homosexuals and the transgendered as Freaks, Genetic Misfits, or Evolutionary Deviants. As a matter of fact, I think it's very wrong. They should be entitled to most of the same basic rights as normal people.
