WASHINGTON -- A security guard for a conservative Christian lobbying group has been shot in the arm in the nation's capital.
Police Chief Cathy Lanier says a man walked into the Family Research Council in the city's Chinatown neighborhood about 10:45 a.m. Wednesday and was confronted by a security guard, whom he shot. The guard and others wrestled the man to the ground and he was taken into custody by the FBI.
The FBI and police say it's too early to know the circumstances of the shooting and whether it was connected to the Family Research Council's activities.
The group says the guard was employed by the organization. The group strongly opposes gay marriage and says it advocates "faith, family and freedom in public policy and public opinion."

Family Research Council President Tony Perkins made the following comments after an FRC security guard was shot this morning:
"The police are investigating this incident. Our first concern is with our colleague who was shot today. Our concern is for him and his family."

When this group no longer sows hatred, it will no longer receive it.

Queer activists are the most vile, profane, violent, obnoxious, whiney, lying and perverted special interest groups I have ever encountered.
They cannot stand the fact that via the internet, citizens of America are finally being educated about their agenda.
Face it, they are only 1-3% fo the population. 32 states have overwhelmingly voted Defense of Marriage Acts into their Constitutions. Companys who support the advancement of the homosexual agenda are losing bussiness and some have gone out of business. Their advances onto the unsuspecting public are being roled back one by one.
They never should have gone after marriage and school children.
