Oscar-winning composer Marvin Hamlisch, 68, dies

imageOscar-winning composer Marvin Hamlisch (The Way We Were, A Chorus Line) has died in Los Angeles following a brief illness, the Associated Press reports.

Hamlisch was 68.

His other films also included The Sting and Sophie's Choice. He won three Academy Awards, four Emmys and a Tony.
