National Gay and Lesbian Task Force workers and volunteers gathered Thursday night at Q Lounge in South Beach for a preview of Sparkle, the group's annual Recognition Dinner on Oct. 6 that benefits LGBT nonprofits in Miami-Dade County.

This year's honorees: South Florida attorney Elizabeth Schwartz, above third from left, and Matt Foreman, the former Task Force executive director who now runs the Evelyn & Walter Haas Jr. Fund.

Organizers say the upcoming dinner is nearly sold out, but that tickets do remain. Also, childcare will be available. Click here for more information or to buy tickets.

Thursday's reception featured complimentary hors d’oeuvres and 42 Below cocktails, along with a quick Red Carter swimsuit fashion show.
