O CINEMA MIAMI SHORES BRINGS GLEE STAR CHRIS COLFER'S STRUCK BY LIGHTNING FOR ONE NIGHT ONLY EVENT ON JAN 6th

**FOLLOWED BY LIVE VIDEO Q&A WITH CHRIS COLFER**

Out actor Chris Colfer, well known for his portrayal of gay high school student Kurt Hummel on the hit TV show GLEE, co-wrote and stars in the new indie coming-of-age film, STRUCK BY LIGHTNING, which will screen for One Night Only on Sunday, Jan 6th at O Cinema Miami Shores as part of a nationwide live event taking place simultaneous to the film's Red Carpet Hollywood premiere!   O Cinema Miami Shores joins a group of select theaters throughout the country, and the only in South Florida, to participate in this unique and fun cinematic experience.  After the film, Colfer will join audiences throughout the country thru a live video feed where he will answer questions in real time via twitter.  The film features an all-star cast including hilarious Australian actress, Rebel Wilson.

Struck By Lightning is about High school senior Carson Phillips (Chris Colfer) who was destined for bigger things than his close-minded small town could ever offer. He was on a path to greatness, but destiny had a different plan when he was suddenly killed by a bolt of lightning in his school parking lot.
Demonstrating that life is what happens while you’re busy planning your future, Carson recounts the last few weeks of his life via witty, insightful flashbacks, including a blackmail scheme targeting the popular kids in school that he concocts with his best friend (Rebel Wilson, BRIDESMAIDS), and a home life that includes a mother (Allison Janney, JUNO, “The West Wing”) who’s more interested in the bottle than her son’s future and an estranged father (Dermot Mulroney, MY BEST FRIEND’S WEDDING) who suddenly appears with a pregnant fiancée (Christina Hendricks, “Mad Men”).

The screening on Sunday, Jan 6th commences at 8pm and is immediately followed by a Live video Q&A with Chris Colfer.  Tickets are $10.50 General Admission, $9 for students and seniors and $7.50 for O Cinema Members.   O Cinema Miami Shores at the Miami Theater Center is located at 9806 NE 2nd Ave in Miami Shores, Florida.  Parking is free and available at the uncovered parking lot on 98th Street between Second and First Avenues NE, on the south side of the buildings.  O Cinema Miami Shores features stunning HD projection, surround sound and 330 seats in a beautiful art-deco era theater.
