Artist Marcelo Holzinger's 'Love is Love' work to benefit Unity Coalition marriage-equality campaign

News release from Unity Coalition:

UNITY COALITION|COALICION UNIDA and artist MARCELO HOLZINGER join forces to proclaim LOVE is LOVE, benefiting MARRIAGE EQUALITY

clip_image002Miami, Florida… Being in a committed relationship but not being able to legally marry here is what inspired artist MARCELO HOLZINGER to join forces with Unity Coalition|Coalicion Unida (UC|CU’s) in our ongoing efforts towards Marriage Equality. Holzinger has created and donated an original piece of art entitled LOVE is LOVE, as well as limited edition, signed posters for purchase and collection.

Sales from this image will go towards UC|CU’s ongoing campaign to bring awareness to bi-national couples, immigration issues and the need for Marriage Equality for the LGBT community.

Holzinger has over 20 years of combined experience as an artist, graphic designer and interior decorator. He began cultivating his artistic talents at a young age he was naturally drawn to beauty, nature, art, and music. Marcelo states: “I feel like I was born loving beauty. I have always been attracted to art, and it's always been a part of who I am.” Holzinger sees Miami as a city whose colors, flavors and energy spark his creativity. He's been working non-stop on various artistic endeavors and his work continues to be exhibited in galleries and prestigious art fairs. With nearly twenty exhibitions in the year 2012 alone, he’s been very busy contributing to the growth of Miami’s art scene, including his recent feature exhibition at the Miami River Art Fair (Miami Convention Center) during Art Basel 2012, Designer for The Stars showcase at the Miami Home Design Show (Miami Beach Convention Center), Leaders, Legends & Lovelies exhibit (Art Deco Welcome Center), and Masters Mystery Art Show (Ritz-Carlton South Beach), among many others. LOVE is LOVE expresses his innermost feelings about Love, Marriage and Commitment, as well as an explosion of Color, Passion and all that is Miami!

UC|CU director Herb Sosa is equally as passionate about Marriage Equality and Marcelo’s amazing artwork. “WHAT’S in a number? 1,138 Federal benefits and responsibilities are instantly available to men and women who are allowed to marry. The Right to LOVE, Right to EQUALITY, Right to have a FAMILY. Values and rights we all believe in. Values many of our LGBT brothers and sisters legally do not have, because of who they love” said Sosa. “Marcelo’s LOVE is LOVE image is the PERFECT image for UC|CU to get this message of Love and Marriage Equality to all, and a perfect fit for our ongoing, multi-layered campaign. We will not rest until ALL Americans have the right to marry who they choose. I can’t wait to have my own limited edition Holzinger poster hanging proudly on my wall.”

LOVE is LOVE will be officially unveiled at the LEGENDS BALL on Thursday, April 11th in Miami Beach, and limited edition prints will also be available for purchase from UC|CU.
